Collaborative Artwork

I began working as a volunteer with San Francisco muralist and illustrator Mona Caron in 2005 on her Botanical Mural. I continued to work with her on public murals until 2010. I was her artist’s assistant on the Noe Valley murals from 2007-2008, and as artist assistant and project manager of “Windows Into the Tenderloin” from 2008-2010.

In September 2012 I designed and co-led a collaborative mosaic mural, “River Time!” with Ross Holzman. We completed a second collaborative mosaic, “Ganeshazam,” a couple weeks later. Individual mosaics made during the mural making process are being integrated into the walls of the strawbale and cob structure we created the mural upon and we also worked to help build.

In 2004 I was a member of the collective ayu*lation dance project. We taught each other different styles of dance and movement and created pieces for a benefit performance, after which the collective disbanded. Together with fellow collective member Blaine Bookey we created the Bluestockings Collective in 2005, choreographing and performing our piece, Interrupt, at salons and dance festivals around the Bay Area throughout that year.
