Since I came back to Brasil, I made the bread many times and it is a success: my friends wanna learn how to bake it and better, they realize it’s possible to be independent from the supermarket! Yes, baking bread is an empowering activity. I’m proud of myself because it’s my first time as a baker and I wanna say a BIG thanks to you, master! Your bread is becoming famous in São Paulo and everybody knows it comes from a San Franciscan woman.

The bible is wrong. Man can live by bread alone. They just had the wrong loaves.

It took me a while to motivate but here is my first loaf of homemade bread (the first of many). Very easy to do (thanks LR!)

Thank you so much for an absolutely wonderful evening! You were so kind to have us in your home, show us how to bake your phenomenal bread (which I’m chewing as I type this), and get to know some really lovely people. Thank you thank you! It is people like you that make this town so wonderful to live in!

Lisaruth’s latest loaf, like a whole-wheat sun rising in the sky of my breakfast. Does the sun have crumbs? Can you butter the sun? Anyway, the loaf is lovely….

Oh my gosh! The bread (I made two loaves) were the HIT of the feast 🙂 … I was even told by a seventy year-old man, business partner of my father, that if he were twenty-five, he’d marry me for that bread! 🙂

Eating homemade walnut bread by Lisaruth Elliott…she does bread making workshops at her home. I went yesterday and came home with a loaf of bread and a heap of inspiration! Highly recommend it.

It was such a nurturing evening! The food, the company – and, making homemade bread! I just had some toasted, with a bowl of soup, for dinner. So nice. Thank you for the gift of such a lovely evening.

Thank you for the lesson today and the recipe for making that delicious bread. I can’t wait to try it out.

It was a great evening, and really the ideal way to learn how to do something like that — relax and take it in, and see the tools you have and how you keep ingredients and everything. It’s very generous of you to invite people in and share your skills. awesome!

I finally got around to baking my first loaf of no-knead bread this weekend! My fiancé and I agree that the endeavor was a success and clearly the beginning of a great field of “research!” Thanks so much for your knowledge and guidance, it’s a wonderful gift.

As I sit here an munch on my fabulous bread from last night, I just want to say THANK YOU for having us over, hosting us, feeding us, and teaching us the art of bread! I’m looking forward to making this as soon as possible, and to get several loaves for the upcoming event.
